The Hibbing Historical Museum uses artifacts, exhibits and astounding miniature models to tell the fascinating story of this 17,000 person town. Visitors to the museum can see accurate representations of the town at its founding in 1893 and twenty years later in 1913, with an audio exhibit that explains the economic motivations that caused the town to pick up everything and move a mile south of its original location. The museum is located near central Hibbing, due east of Hibbing Community College.
